Place Value
3 is in the hundreds place,
5 is in the tens place,
and 8 is in the ones place.
Example 1: Identifying values
Type the value of the red digit. Example: 4,384 = 4,000 1. 960 For 960, 0 is in the ones place. In the expanded form, 960 = 900 + 60 + 0 So the value is 0. 2. 787 For 787, 7 is in the hundreds place. In the expanded form, 787 = 700 + 80 + 7 So the value is 700.
