Example 1: Unit conversion (English system)

We know that 1 pound (lb) = 16 ounces (oz) so

Example 2: Unit conversion (metric system)

Do the following conversions. Round to nearest tenth where necessary.
3 kg = g

We know that 1 kilogram (kg) = 1000 grams (g) so

Example 3: Unit conversion (English and metric systems)

To convert between the two systems, we know that 1 kilogram (kg) = 2.2046 grams (g).
