General patterns with numbers or arithmetic sequences

Grade 2: 1. Recognize, create and extend repeating, growing and shrinking patterns using numbers, concrete objects and pictures.
Grade 3: 1. Create and identify patterns in numbers and shapes and explain how to extend those patterns.
Grade 5: 1. Identify patterns in numbers, shapes, tables, and graphs and explain how to extend those patterns.
Grade 8: 1. Recognize when a list of numbers forms an arithmetic or geometric progression and be able to determine subsequent terms in the progression.
