You will need how to multiply a larger number by a single digit number.

In Money Multiplication, you are multiplying a decimal number by a single digit number. This takes two steps:

  1. Ignore the decimal point and multiply
  2. Place the decimal point in your answer so that it has the same number of decimal places as the decimal number being multiplied
Since you are multiplying money, remember to add the $ sign to your answer.
Example 1:
$0.28   ←   The number being multiplied has 2 decimal places
× 4
   
$0.96   ←   The answer has 2 decimal places

Example 2:
$517.34   ←   The number being multiplied has 2 decimal places
× 7
   
$3621.38   ←   The answer has 2 decimal places
