MathScore School Version Information MathScore focuses on math practice and achieves differentiated instruction for grades 2 through Algebra I. MathScore is a mastery-based learning system that is proven to increase test scores. Students master simple concepts and then proceed to master more complex concepts that build upon the simple concepts. Educators often refer to this approach as "scaffolding". MathScore is usually used as a supplement, but sometimes used as a full curriculum, such as by GED programs. Teachers Save Time MathScore is paperless and provides instant feedback. Paper-based math facts timed tests are burdensome; it will take the average teacher 30 minutes to photocopy, administer, grade, and track progress for one test. In 30 minutes on MathScore, however, every student can complete 20-30 timed math facts tests that are individually tuned to the skill level of each student. It is also common for a teacher to teach a concept in class and then ask every student to practice that concept using MathScore. This approach makes MathScore an ideal tool to assess and reinforce concepts that were just taught in class. MathScore is Easy to Deploy MathScore is 100% Internet-based, requires no plug-ins, and therefore requires absolutely no installation. You have no server to maintain. When you sign up, you get a master "admin" account that can add/edit/remove all of your student and teacher accounts. If you have a database, it is usually possible to bulk load all of your students into our system. We do not limit the number of simultaneous connections, and your students and teachers are more than welcome to log in from home, the library, etc. Negligible Professional Development Costs The vast majority of teachers who use and love MathScore have never received live training.
