The associative property means that grouping does not matter. In this topic, we work with the associative property of addition.

Here is an example of the associative property:

The answer is the same even with different groupings.
(3 + 2) + 4 = 3 + (2 + 4)
5 + 4 = 3 + 6
9 = 9

The property holds true even if you have more than three operands.
